Purpose

Cadense shoes are purpose-built adaptive sneakers designed especially for individuals experiencing walking challenges, like foot drop, Parkinson’s, MS, stroke, cerebral palsy, neuropathy, or age-related gait issues. This could be helpful for individuals with FOP if they have limited foot or ankle mobility and are not able to lift their foot off the ground. They also have a wide toe box and easy on/off design.

Description

Cadense shoes use a unique “variable friction” sole technology designed to help people with foot drop or other mobility challenges walk more safely. The front of the sole features smooth nylon pucks that allow the foot to glide forward easily when it drags—reducing the risk of tripping. As the wearer pushes off to take a step, these pucks retract under pressure to provide grip and stability. This combination of glide and traction supports a smoother, more natural walking motion, especially for individuals who struggle to lift their feet fully. The design helps promote confidence and safety without requiring braces or bulky modifications. The shoe will fit an AFO or brace if needed.
