Adapted Life Jackets

Purpose

Traditional life jackets do not always support individuals with different mobility needs or body positioning. These adaptive life jackets are designed for people with disabilities. The three different models allow for you to find something that will support you in the water safely.

Description

Dorsal Position Life Jacket

The PFD-A vest has been designed for lying in a supine position. It is a floatation device that provides horizontal support. The device is very flexible and is suitable for cerebral palsy: the water supports the body, while the PFD-A stabilizes it. It is also ideally suited for asymmetrical body conditions, such as scoliosis and hemiplegia. It compensates for pressure from one side, as the fetal position does. It is safe and secure in the case of losing consciousness or twitching and jerking movements. Epileptic seizure: the pillow float withstands both powerful jerky head movements and repeated arching of the back.

Upright position Life Jacket

Lj-A supports the upright position for disabled person. Lj-A is used by all people able to put themselves alone in the vertical on the water. This vest helps at the ventral position. It provides superior stability to the front.

Vertical position Life Jacket

Its ergonomic configuration provides great comfort. This is a High Support float in vertical position. The Lj-V model was designed to maintain the vertical position supported foolproof for customers suffering from movement disorders. This flotation aid constantly keeps the mouth away from water and maintains the body at the vertical despite a fœtus position, an undeveloped lower body or sudden movements with large contortions. This is the principle of stability of a collar float, used here in its full capacity.
