Dawn Adaptive
Purpose
Many traditional clothing brands have developed adaptive lines to accommodate a wider group of people and allow individuals with physical limitations the opportunity to wear the same clothing as their peers. Adaptive clothing is helpful to those with FOP once joints become locked or mobility is limited.
Description
DAWN ADAPTIVE was founded in 2020 by Usha G. Nair, a mom of 2 daughters whose younger one has a disability. The idea behind Dawn Adaptive started because of her daughter Ivanna, a bubbly, witty, energetic, and curious girl who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was just a baby. They are Malaysia’s first adaptive clothing brand, a Social Enterprise dedicated to designing adaptive clothing that is fashionable, comfortable, and affordable for all. The clothing is a functional solution for people with dressing difficulties or simply anyone who wants to experience a more easy dressing process.
Currently they have a magnetic polo, a wrap dress, and side zip pants
