Paint roller for applying lotion

Average rating:

Purpose

Everyday painting tool that can be repurposed for applying lotion to skin.

Description

No, this is not the typical way to use a paint roller, but finding tools that work for FOP takes thinking outside the box!  Applying lotion is a very important component of keeping your skin hydrated and healthy but can also be very difficult when FOP limits your mobility.  A long-handled paint roller can be a decent substitute for reaching and applying lotion to arms, legs, and backs.  Sure, there are plenty of lotion applicators you can buy online, but why not use a less-expensive alternative that works just as well!

Tips

Make sure to clean your roller applicators so they don’t collect and spread bacteria, and dispose and replace them on a regular basis.  When looking for the mini rollers, try the ones made from sponge material – they won’t soak up as much of your lotion and are easier to clean and rinse!
