Quad Cane
Purpose
Description
Quad canes come in various designs and may have features like adjustable height and ergonomic handles for comfort.
Handle: The top of the cane usually features a handle that the user grips onto for support. The handle may come in various shapes and materials to accommodate different preferences and needs.
Quad Tip: At the bottom end of the cane are 4 tips in the shape of a rectangle, usually made of rubber or another non-slip material, which provides traction and stability while walking. Some tips may be replaceable to maintain traction over time.
Adjustable Height: Many quad canes have adjustable height settings, allowing users to customize the cane’s length to their individual height for optimal comfort and support.
Right or Left: Quad canes can be adjusted for the right or left side by rotating the handle or bottom piece (depending on the model). The flat side should be closest to your leg.
Lightweight and Portable: Quad canes are typically lightweight and portable, making them easy to carry around when not in use. They are not usually foldable like single point canes.
