Table Stand

Purpose

Larissa Bianca Polli, who lives with FOP in Brazil, created this  table stand after a flare-up locked her arms and led to her not being able to sit anymore. She and her mother-in-law got the idea to make this table stand so that she could still eat at the table with her family. At first, they used a container, but it was not the right height. They then took measurements and built a custom table from wood.  She says “It was great, because now I can have my meals—and even do a little extra, like writing or working on my laptop—while standing up; so, it ends up serving a variety of purposes.”

How to make

Wood and screws

I used wood and screws that I already had at home; I took four pieces to form a square and achieve the height I needed.
