Purpose

Wheel the World is a travel company that specializes in creating accessible travel experiences for people with disabilities. Founded by siblings Alvaro Silberstein and Camilo Navarro, Wheel the World aims to make travel more inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of physical limitations. Wheel the World is the most comprehensive guide for travelers with disabilities. On their website you can find and book hotels, transportation, experiences, and multi-day travel to over 250 destinations world wide. Wheel the World is committed to providing accurate information and has dedicated customer support with specialized experience in traveling with a disability. They work closely with local tourism operators to ensure that accommodations, transportation, and activities are accessible. This includes providing adaptive equipment and trained guides where necessary.

The company was inspired by Alvaro Silberstein’s personal experience. Alvaro, who uses a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury, successfully completed the W Trek in Patagonia with the help of friends carrying him in his wheelchair. This experience motivated him to create Wheel the World, with the mission to empower people with disabilities to explore the world freely.
