X-PUR Xylitol Mouthwash
Purpose
Oral rinses can be a great alternative for patients who’s jaws have fused. When FOP causes the jaw to fuse, oral rinses may be the only way to reach the tongue and inner surfaces of the teeth. Oral rinses are not a replacement for daily brushing and flossing. Only brushing and flossing disrupts the biofilm that develops on the teeth causing plaque. However, mouthwashes may help get into areas missed by brushing. X-Pur Mouthwash has been suggested by members of the Support4FOP group.
Description
X-PUR Xylitol Mouthwash is an advanced oral rinse designed to promote comprehensive oral health. This is an alcohol-free, mint-flavored mouthwash.
Ingredients
- Sodium Fluoride (0.2%): Provides 905 ppm fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel and help prevent cavities.
- Citrox®: A patented, plant-based bioflavonoid complex derived from bitter oranges. Citrox® offers antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties, effectively targeting harmful oral bacteria and breaking down biofilm without staining teeth or causing taste alterations
- Xylitol (10%): A natural sweetener that reduces the load of cariogenic bacteria, contributing to a pleasant taste and promoting oral health.
- Cetylpyridinium Chloride (CPC): A broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that helps reduce plaque and gingivitis by disrupting bacterial cell membranes
Use Guidelines
Rinse with 10 ml once a week for 1 minute, then expectorate. Avoid eating, drinking, or rinsing for 30 minutes afterward.
