Zippers can be very helpful to ease access into clothes. Zippers don’t just have to be in the front. They can be placed on the side of a shirt sleeve or the sides of pants which will make it much easier to put them on or take them off. You can also place a zipper in the back of shirt which could allow a person with FOP to slip a shirt on without moving their arms (this would require the assistance of another).

How to make

Zippers can be purchased online in places such as Amazon or in craft supply stores. A seamstress or crafty family member can replace the buttons or remove a seam and put a zipper in it’s place.
